4RL Privacy Policy
Welcome to 4RL LLC Privacy Policy (“Policy”). The Policy outlines how we collect, store, protect, and share your information, and with whom we share it. While you are using the 4RL LLC web or mobile apps (the “App”, “4RL”), or affiliated services, we collect certain information about you and may choose to use that information to share with other users.
When you use 4RL, we automatically collect certain information related to your computer or mobile device and activities including:
Device Information/Specifications: We may collect information about your device including mobile device unique ID number, device model, operating system, and MAC address
Usage Information: The manner in which you use the Service and its individual components and features
Cookies: While we do not currently collect cookies, we reserve the right to do so in the future for purposes of improving the 4RL app experience
Geolocation Information: With your permission granted, we collect your mobile device’s location via inbuilt technologies including GPS, Bluetooth, and other hardware and software within your device Registration Information
When you Create an account (“Account”), we may collect certain information about you (“Registration Information”) including:
- Phone Number
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Sexual Orientation
- Sexual Preference
- Education
- Occupation
- Photographs
After creating an Account, you will be able to review and edit certain information in the Settings and Edit Profile section of the App Please note that the personal information we collect helps to improve the App and ensure the authenticity of all user profiles.
We may collect information such as email addresses and phone numbers that you supply in accordance with referrals to friends. You agree that you will not abuse the referral feature by sending referrals to individuals who you do not believe will be interested in the Service In certain circumstances, users of 4RL may also provide us with information about you in cases dealing with customer support inquiries or concerns on breach of Terms or Policy more generally.
By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS messages with one-time security codes for account creation and authentication as well as periodic notifications related to your activity on the App. We may at times request information in the form of online surveys to better the Service.
We collect Information in service of delivering the best possible experience to you. As such, we may use your information to:
- ensure you are physically located at your checked-in location
- enable you to enter into matching sessions in venues where appropriate
- facilitate matching between you and other users consistent with your preferences
- personalize the in-app experience to your preferences
- contact you with relevant information regarding updates to the Service
- resolve customer service issues including disputes with other users and issues with the Service
- protect against any fraudulent activity or activity breaching the Terms as agreed to between users and 4RL LLC
- conduct research and analytics relevant to how users interact with the Service
- where we otherwise maintain legitimate interest in collecting information. This may include direct marketing
If you consent, we may share your Information
We may provide information to certain third parties whom we have engaged to perform functions and provide services to us.
To facilitate payments for our Premium Services and In-App Purchases
As outlined in the Terms of Service, we hold the 4RL community to a high standard of conduct while using the App. As such, we will cooperate with all third parties to enforce intellectual property and other rights as outlined in the Terms. Additionally, we will cooperate with law enforcement. This may include disclosure of certain information as specified.
In the event of a change of ownership including a merger or acquisition by another corporate entity, we may be required to disclose your personal data.
We may share aggregated information with third parties including personal information (not including personal identifiable information) together with other information including usage data for industry analysis and demographic profiling.
Our App is designed to make it easy for you to connect with other Users and to interact with them. You also understand that your profile and other information you make available via the App, including information you provide directly or indirectly may be viewed and shared by others. When using 4RL, you should assume that anything you post or submit on the App may be publicly viewable and accessible.
You may access or modify your Information at any time after creating your Account
If you delete your account, we take a best efforts approach to make sure your profile no longer remains viewable on the App. Upon request of deletion, we immediately begin the process of deleting your Account from our systems. We are not responsible for any information, pictures, comments, or other content that is deleted from our systems resulting from the deletion of your Account.
To prevent abuse and/or misuse by a User following termination or deletion of a profile/Account we shall retain such information as we deem in our sole discretion may be necessary to ensure that User does not open a new Account and profile in breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use and to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
Warning: Even after you remove information from your profile or delete your Account, copies of that information may still be viewable and/or accessed to the extent such information has been previously shared with others, or copied or stored by other Users or to the extent such information has been shared with search engines. We cannot control this, nor do we accept any liability for this. If you have given third party applications or websites access to your personal information they may retain such information to the extent permitted under their terms of service or privacy policy.
We maintain a strict policy that users must be at least 18 years of age to access the Service.
We do not knowingly collect information about users under the age of 18. Consistent with this policy, we request that you do not submit any information to us if you are under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child, minor or anyone under the age of 18 has registered with us and provided us with personal information, we will take steps to terminate that person's registration and delete their Information. If we do delete a profile because you violated our no children rules, we may retain such information as we deem in our sole discretion may be necessary to ensure that User does not open a new Account and profile in breach of our Terms and Conditions of Use and to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
We maintain the right to modify this Policy at our discretion. Each and every time we make such modifications, we will indicate at the top of this page the date of the most recent version. By continuing to access or use the App after those modifications become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
